What is better on a Hot North Carolina Summer night than smores? Now pair that with a nice, cool, slow flowing knee deep river to stand in while roasting those delectable treats! We have the firepits in the River and Smores Bar to make a unique toasted blend of Flavors.

Due to needing the correct water levels and forecast, we will be looking at historical weather data, along with weather forecast to determine the dates.

Food and drinks on site.

No one under the age of 8 allowed. Minors (ages 8-17) must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or a person at least 21 years of age as designated by parent or legal guardian. Anyone causing disturbance will be asked to leave with no refund.

Nighttime Flicks Event Setup by the River

Floating Flicks

Thrill-seekers, you can officially add "Watch Flicks while Floating in The Dan River" to your Summer 2024 bucket list. Floatery in Madison, NC will be showing JAWS , July 26th (back by popular demand). Come create memories with a unique, one-of-a-kind experience of watching cinema's greatest water themed flicks while bobbing in the ripples of the Dan River as part of Floating Flicks, a new movie-going experience. No one under the age of 12 allowed. Minors (ages 12-17) must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or a person at least 21 years of age as designated by parent or legal guardian. Anyone causing disturbance will be asked to leave with no refund. Food and drinks on site. Note: We were asked by many to "Please replay Jaws this Year", welp we listened and doing just that! Guided Firefly Floats

As you listen to the sounds of nature and watch natures fireworks, the fireflies. The fireflies are typically full in the trees lining the river, one of our favorite floats, as you enjoy the sunset and the fireflies in conjunction with friends and family. They mate only a few weeks in the year and the display of the flickering lights will leave you in awe. The fireflies are typically full in the trees lining the river during the month of June and first week in july, One of our most favorite floats. Includes tracker, glowstick, life jacket, headlamp, shuttle, and guide.
You must pay in advance for night events to secure your spot. June 14, 21, 28 July 5 We meet at Floatery at 7:00 PM to go over all details and safety. We are on the water by 7:30 PM to enjoy the best of Mother Nature!
